Rashami Desai’s mother finally revealed the reason why the actress did not stick to her original name and changed it not once but twice for her acting career
BB13 contestant Rashami Desai has remained in news for all good reasons. Such as her setting foot in supernatural TV show Naagin 4 in a pivotal role, her budding friendship with TV actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee and of course her family. Rashami and her mother Rasila Desai share a great bond and these days it very much reflects in the actress’ conversation. Like many stars who have different screen name, Rashami too is one of them, who changed her name.
During a live chat interaction with Pinkvilla, amidst of lockdown, Rashami was named as Shivani Desai on her birth, but later changed her name to Divya and then finally Rashami. Well all this was done by the actress on her mother’s suggestion. Rasila Desai revealed of her being scared of letting her daughter make her career in the entertainment business which has several uncertainties, also she weighing the pressure of the community, she decided to change her name. While she first asked to have a screen name Divya, later by consulting an astrologer friend, she changed her name to Rashami.
So now the mystery behind Rashami Desai’s name is finally solved.
Midst of the lockdown Rashami Desai has been keeping her fans entertained by posting cool TikTok videos. In conversation with us, she has explained of her first TikTok video with niece, “In fact, I was surprised when I spoke to her about it, she said that she knows what a TikTok is!”
After Bigg Boss 13, Rashami Desai is currently seen in Naagin 4 as Shalaka, however, the show’s shoot is currently on halt with the lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic.
